中国茶叶博物馆是我国唯一以茶和茶文化为主题的国家级专题博物馆，座落于龙井茶乡，于1991年4月正式对外开放，占地4.7公顷，建筑面积8000平方米，是一个集文化展示、科普宣传、人才培养、科学研究、学术交流及品茗、餐饮、会务、休闲等服务功能于一体的现代化博物馆。中国茶叶博物馆是中华茶文化的展示中心；是系统收藏茶文物、茶叶文献资料的专业场所；是茶文化研究的重要基地；是茶文化活动的重要组织机构；是茶艺师的摇篮和传播茶文化的重要窗口，是爱国主义教育及未成年人素质教育的重要阵地。

China National Tea Museum is the only national museum specialized in tea and tea culture in China. It is located in Dragon Well, the tea hometown, was launched officially in April 1991, covers land are 4.7 Ha, and construction area 8000 M2. It is a modern museum for cultural show, popular science promotion, talent training, research, academic exchange, tea drinking, catering, conference, recreation and other services. It is an exhibition center of Chinese tea culture, a professional venue for collecting tea antiques and tea documents, a key base for tea cultural study, an important organization for tea cultural events, a cradle for tea technicians, an important window for promoting tea culture and a key venue for the education of patriotism and quality of the minors.
