A Gift of Nature from Here to EternityReturn

brief introduction

This exhibition takes the opportunity of the inscription of “traditional tea processing techniques and associated social practices in China” on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity to showcase the profound legacy through texts, pictures, multimedia, utensils, etc. The folk experience zone and the intangible cultural heritage experience zone are designed to promote the heritage in the community.

The exhibition is divided into four chapters: “Good Tea for the Good Time”, “Pure Taste and Fragrance”, “Refined Skills”, and “The Best Water”. Apart from showcasing 17 tea-making techniques for the 44 projects from 15 provinces, it provides five folk experience zones and an intangible cultural heritage experience zone for visitors to have a close look and even bring some souvenirs home.

In the special skills zone and folk experience zones, multimedia and scenario models are used to restore the tea-making techniques and display the utensils used in folk activities.
